To help you choose a Master Trader, Bybit provides you with detailed trading performance data of each Master Trader as a reference. In addition to viewing the basic performance data of all Master Traders under the Top Master Traders and All Master Traders sections on the Copy Trading page, you can also click on a Master Trader's card to access the portfolio page to view more comprehensive trading performance data.

In this article, we will take a closer look at what the trading performance data on a Master Trader's portfolio page represents. To learn more about how Master Traders can be ranked on the Top Master Traders Leaderboard, please visit here.

Please note that the performance of both USDT Perpetual Trades and Trading Bot created via Copy Trading will be taken into account.

Portfolio Page

There are multiple sections on the Master Trader profile page, including Performance

Overview, Profit (Follower), Statistics, Statistics of Copied Trades and Follower(s).

How to Calculate N-day ROI

Example 1: Master Trader With Standard Account
Assume that you want to calculate Trader A’s 7-day Copy Trading ROI between Oct 14, 2023 and Oct 20, 2023.

Let's say that Trader A had 3,000 USDT in their Copy Trading Account on Oct 14, 2023, which comprises 2,800 USDT as their initial wallet balance and 200 USDT as the unrealized profit and loss. In addition, they deposit 300 USDT and withdraw 1,000 USDT on the same day.

By Oct 20, 2023, their wallet balance had grown to 3,800 USDT with an unrealized profit and loss of 300 USDT, leaving him with a balance of 4,100 USDT in equity.

In this scenario, their 7-day ROI from Oct 14 to 20 Oct is calculated as follows:

Total Profit = Current Account Equity − Previous Account Equity − Total Deposits + Total Withdrawals − Commissions
= (4,100 USDT − 3,000 USDT − 300 USDT + 1,000 USDT) = 1,800 USDT

ROI = [1,800/(3,000 USDT + 300 USDT)] x 100 = 54.50 %

Example 2: Master Trader With Unified Trading Account

On Jan 8, 2023, Trader B’s unrealized profit and loss (UPL) is +2,300 USDT, and the trading results for the past seven (7) days are as follows:

The calculation for Trader B’s 7D ROI is as follows:

Previous Account Equity = 27,000 × 1 + 1,500 × 10 + 9,000 + 1,200 = 52,200

New Deposit = 28,000 × 2 + 75 × 120 = 65,000

Profit = 8,000 - 300 − 400 + 2,300 − 1,200 = 8,400

ROI = 8,400 / (52,200 + 65,000) = 7.17%

Profit (Follower)

Once a Follower starts following the Master Trader, their performance will be displayed under this section in real-time. The Cumulative Profit and Total ROI will be updated at 12AM (midnight) every day.

Statistics

Under the Statistics tab, there are options to select — All, Trades, and Bots.

Trades encompasses trade data, including information on current trades and closed trades.
Bots refer to bot data, including details on current bots and terminated bots.

Three (3) types of data are provided here, including Earnings, Profit and Trading History.

Earnings

Past Trader-Initiated Trades: Positions, Order Qty, Entry Price, Opened On, Closing Price, Closed On, Margin, ROI (%) and Follower(s).

Please note that Followers' positions may not always match with your Master Traders due to several reasons. For more information, please refer to here.

Bots

You can access details on both running and terminated bots under Trading Bots. The specific data that can be viewed is as follows:

Running: Market, Running Time, Trades in the last 24H, Realized P&L, Unrealized P&L

Terminated: Market, Running Time, Trade Count, Follower(s), Investment, ROI

Please note that Followers may not always have the same amount of bots with your Master Traders due to several reasons. For more information, please refer to here.

Katakanlah anda memiliki 3.000 USDT di akun Copy Trading anda pada 14 Oktober, dimana 2.800 USDT adalah saldo dompet awal anda dan 200 USDT adalah keuntungan dan kerugian anda yang belum direalisasi. Selain itu, anda menyetor 300 USDT dan menarik 1.000 USDT pada hari yang sama, dan juga dikenakan komisi Copy Trading sebesar 200 USDT.

Pada 20 Okt, saldo dompet anda akan bertambah menjadi 3.800 USDT dengan untung dan rugi yang belum direalisasi sebesar 300 USDT, menyisakan saldo ekuitas sebesar 4.100 USDT. Dalam skenario ini, ROI 7 hari anda dari 14 Okt hingga 20 Okt akan dihitung sebagai berikut:

Total Keuntungan = Ekuitas Akun Terkini - Ekuitas Akun Sebelumnya - Total Deposit + Total Penarikan - Komisi
