What Is AC Milan Fan Token (ACM)?

AC Milan Fan Token (ACM) is the official digital asset token for the AC Milan soccer club. It was created following a partnership between the Rossoneri (Milan’s nickname) and Socios.com, a fan engagement app powered by the Chiliz blockchain.

As a fintech company, Chiliz provides a blockchain-powered architecture, the Chiliz Chain, which allows Socios.com to issue Fan Tokens such as ACM. Since Chiliz Chain is a sidechain powered by Ethereum, it allows Fan Token holders to participate in a club’s decision-making through the execution of smart contracts.

Through ACM, the global fan base of the Italian soccer club can stay connected with the team and access a wide range of perks, such as VIP experiences, exclusive club promotions, signed memorabilia and a chance to meet their favorite sports legends.

AC Milan Fan Token Price

ACM launched at $6.56 on February 11, 2021 and quickly shot to its all-time high of $23.30 on February 24, when Binance announced that it would test its initial exchange offering (IEO) format by listing the AC Milan Fan Token. 

In the following weeks, ACM’s price cooled off and traded sideways for some time before experiencing another price surge to $16.86 on May 16, 2021. Toward the end of May, the price declined sharply to land at $7.29. Then, in mid-July, ACM’s price recovered and continued to rise steadily in the following months.

After hitting $11.51 on September 16, 2021, the token’s price began to decline gradually, a trend that continued for the rest of that year. Things began to look up for ACM in March 2022 with a slight pump from $4.57 on March 1 to $9.08 on April 3, 2022.

Thereafter, the AC Milan Fan Token price declined and has continued to trade sideways at around $2.50–$3 with a new low of $2.15 on November 9, 2022.

What Is ACM Used For?

As a part of the Fan Token family, ACM is utility-enabled. Its main use is to provide a tokenized way for AC Milan to engage globally with its fans.

ACM Fan Token holders can vote through the Socios.com App to influence AC Milan’s decisions. For instance, token holders have participated in choosing a message to feature in the team’s dressing room, a fan art contest for the club’s legend, Franco Baresi, and content for an exclusive behind-the-scenes summer tour.

Other perks of holding ACM include VIP access to AC Milan’s matches, meeting the club’s players, cashback offers on the official online shop and many other benefits.

ACM Tokenomics

ACM had an initial token supply of 20,000,000 but has since reduced to 19,960,000 as a result of token burns. About 10% of the tokens (2,000,157) were distributed to fans during the Fan Token Offering.

The rest of the tokens are held by AC Milan, and will be released into circulation through a 6-year monthly linear vesting schedule of 4,000,000 ACM tokens in the first year and 3,200,000 ACM per year for the next five years.
