Individual identity verification is divided into three levels: Standard, Advanced, and Pro. The differences in benefits and withdrawal limits between these three levels can be found in Benefits of Different KYC Levels. This article provides a step-by-step guide for completing Standard, Advanced, and Pro Level identity verification.

How to Complete Individual Identity Verification
Step 1: Tap the profile icon in the upper left corner → Settings → Identity Verification or tap on Verify Now.
Step 2: Select your current residence countries. Please select the accurate residence country and region, as they can influence your verification process. Additional verification may be required if you wish to make changes after confirmation.
Proof of Identity (POI)
Step 1: Tap on Verify to start your verification, and select your nationality and country of residence.
Step 2: Complete the facial recognition process and submit your identity document.
Note: If you are unable to proceed to the facial recognition page after several attempts, it may be that the document submitted doesn’t fulfill the requirements, or there have been too many submissions within a short period. In this case, please try again after 30 minutes. If the issue cannot be resolved, please reach out to our Customer Support by submitting a case here.
Identity Assessment
In normal circumstances, identity assessment will be completed automatically right after you have completed your proof of identity. However, certain users will be required to complete an Identity Assessment Questionnaire. Users are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate and reliable.
Once you have completed the standard identity verification, you’ll see a verified label on your Verification Center page. You can now deposit and start trading! For more details, you can refer to this article: FAQ — Individual KYC.
Individuals who did not pass the identity assessment are ineligible to complete Standard Verification, and consequently, are unable to access the products that require successful completion of this verification process.
Proof of address (POA)
Tap on the Verify button in the Verification Center to submit your Proof of Address. Please note that you must complete the Standard verification before proceeding to Advanced verification.
Bybit only accepts Proof of Address documents such as utility bills, bank statements and residential proof issued by your government. Proof of Address must be dated within the last three months. Documents dated older than three months will be rejected. For more information, please refer to FAQ — Individual KYC. After we’ve verified your information, your withdrawal amount limit will be increased.
You can double-check your submitted information from the Identity Verification page. Click on the eye icon to view your information. Please note that you’ll need to enter your Google Authenticator code to view your information. Should there be any discrepancy, please reach out to our Customer Support by submitting a case here.
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
To complete the Pro level of identity verification, tap on verify to provide the required details to complete the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) process. EDD requires you to complete a questionnaire and provide supporting documents for your proof of income.
Please note that in rare cases, you may still be required to submit additional documents for verification when withdrawing funds or conducting fiat transactions even after completing EDD.
