About Opulous (OPUL)

What Is Opulous?

Opulous is an innovative platform that allows users to mint digital tokens representing real-world music assets. Built on the Ethereum blockchain, Opulous provides a secure and transparent way for artists, labels and fans to tokenize music assets, such as songs and albums. These digital tokens are known as Music Fungible Tokens (MFTs) and can be used to access various features offered by the Opulous platform.

Opulous (OPUL) Price

OPUL launched on Sep 23, 2021 at $1.24. It quickly descended to $0.65 by Sep 28, but when news broke two days later that users could stake OPUL on KuCoin to earn 30% APY, OPUL price climbed above $0.70. On Oct 5, OPUL crossed the $1 mark, and the next day Opulous announced it would launch its first Music Security NFTs (S-NFTs), with Lil Pump and KSHMR as the first artists on board. This announcement pushed OPUL past its previous high of $1.24.

On Oct 22, 2021, Opulous released news of the first Music NFT sale for the track Mona Lisa by Lil Pump and Soulja Boy. On Oct 26, Opulous surprised the crypto community with its new partnership with LINE blockchain to develop new NFT products, pushing Opulous price to a new high of $2.11 on Oct 28.

With the launch of Opulous’ first Music NFT sale on Nov 4, OPUL set a new all-time high of $4.17. The platform then created a new staking pool on Nov 12, enabling users to earn 35% APR when they stake OPUL on Gate.io. Two days later, Opulous announced that Scottish DJ Calvin Harris’s manager had joined the Opulous team, also revealing that it had received funding from Jump Trading LLC. On Nov 18, all NFT investors became eligible to receive OPUL tokens in addition to their royalty payouts. This news led OPUL price to a new all-time high of $7.56 on Nov 18, 2021.

From this high, OPUL’s price gradually declined due to the crypto bear market of early 2022. After the crash of Terra LUNA in May, OPUL eventually found support at the $0.07 mark, rising toward early February to $0.30. This growth is likely attributable to the launch of Opulous’ OPUL Staking Pool v3. Since then, the price of Opulous has fluctuated, ranging from $0.12 to $0.20.

Opulous (OPUL) Tokenomics

There’s a total supply of 500 million OPUL tokens, with 17.8% allocated to the foundation reserve. The ecosystem and liquidity pool receive another 17.5% each, while 12.8% is distributed to Opulous’ private sale. Another 12.5% of the supply goes to the team, and 10% is allocated to Opulous’ seed round. Advisors and partners of Opulous own 5% of OPUL. The remaining 6.9% is split between DAO Maker sale (3.2%), TrustSwap sale (2.6%), strategic partners (0.7%) and DAO Maker pre-sale (0.4%).
